Happy Earth Day at Lobo Gardens


A pouring rain and new dill, arugula, sunflowers, chile peppers, and tomato sprouts graced us on Earth Day at the Lobo Gardens.

We are in the final two weeks of the Spring Semester, completing our Writing About Wine & Food Blogs and websites, cultivating new seed beds, and preparing to transplant our vines from the UNM Greenhouse to the campus Lobo Gardens.

Writing the Story of Wine

My love affair with wine began at the same time in life that I became a “certified” scholar of rhetoric. The spark of delight and fascination for wine happened the summer that I crossed the academic threshold as a freshly-minted PhD of Rhetoric and Composition Studies.   After completing my doctoral studies at Texas A&M University, I took a journey to Spain in July 2002.
